2. Direct Contracts & Payments
All project agreements, scopes of work, revisions, deadlines, and financial transactions (via bKash, Nagad, Rocket, or Bank Transfer) occur directly between the client and the freelance editor. BD Editor is not an escrow service unless explicitly agreed under a managed service arrangement.
3. Client Safety Guidelines
- Never pay 100% upfront before any work has commenced. A standard deposit of 30% to 50% is standard practice in freelance video editing.
- Request low-resolution or watermarked drafts for review before clearing the final milestone payment.
- Keep records of all chat communications, project briefs, and payment Transaction IDs (TrxID).
4. Editor Responsibilities
- Only showcase work that you personally edited or created. Stealing portfolios or impersonating other creators will result in permanent ban.
- Communicate deadlines honestly. Deliver projects in the formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions agreed upon with the client.
- Always add a visible watermark when delivering early draft previews before full payment is completed.
5. Dispute Resolution & Reporting
If you encounter fraud, non-payment, unresponsiveness, or copyright theft, submit a report via our Report Dispute form or contact our support team directly. Verified offenders will be permanently blacklisted from BD Editor.
6. Limitation of Liability
BD Editor provides the platform on an 'as-is' basis. We strive to verify portfolios and maintain trust badges, but we are not legally liable for external agreements, losses, or disputes occurring outside the website.
